Apocrypha Hrsfalogicae

Afterword:

It has taken me more than thirteen months to write these reminiscences rather longer than I first expected to take but no matter. I have spoken, at some length, of those aspects of the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association with which I have been most involved over the years: the third HRSFA constitution (which I had a hand in writing), the third volume of Fusion (which I edited, more or less), the major events I took part in, and the people I knew. And, having already said more than I really know, I believe it is time for me to shut up. And so I will.

I hope that this document will not be a static one. I encourage all older members of HRSFA, including alumni/alumnæ, to amend Apocrypha HRSFAlogicæ with their own reminiscences and to correct my mistakes; I would also like to see younger HRSFAns update the various chapters from time to time with reports on more recent events. (An annual update of Chapter One would be a good start.)

While writing this history I have, through no fault of my own, graduated from Harvard College and gone on to do other things (like becoming a VISTA Volunteer, for example). Having been an alumnus for nearly a year now I can offer HRSFA members one final piece of advice: keep in touch with us. Alumni or at least those who were reasonably active HRSFA members in their undergraduate days are generally very pleased to receive news from the Association, and can offer some useful advice and perspective in return. We may even be willing to give HRSFA money, if asked nicely. Stranger things have happened.

For now, I leave you with my best regards and my love.
