Minutes, 10.13.02 From: Kaitlin Branson Heller Date: Sun Oct 13 2002 - 23:42:59 ED --------------------------------------------------- "It looks like you're undergoing a giant whittling project." - Mary Grace to Ender, who was carrying an enormous stick After rehashing Kartik's Munchkining in the one-shot: "You must understand the gazebo within yourself before you can face the gazebo." - Ender The co-chairs came in. "There are three people with a stick ... Which one is the bitch?" - Kartik There was a frog on Starr's shoulder. "I don't know why there's a frog on my shoulder." - Starr The Sergeant at Arms announced that the con-chairs were presiding. They did so, and immediately yielded the floor to the co-chairs, who then ran the meeting. ----+ business + + + + >>> WYLD HUNT >>> The huntmasters are working on this. So far, the available information is that the Hunt will be this Saturday, October 19, starting in Dave Molnar's room in Eliot and ending (after cleanup) with a small party in Eliot JCR. The huntmasters will announce more specific times and places Tuesday. It will be Head of the Charles weekend, so remember to bring your IDs when you go hunting so that you can enter the yard. "I will ensure that all people wearing wode are easily identifiable." - Warren >>> COMING OF THE HOUR >>> All hail Kronos. We will gather on the steps of Harvard Hall very early on the morning of Saturday the 27th - at 2 am. During the next hour, we will not light candles, we will not burn a clock, "I would definitely say the candles are less lit than the clock is burned." - Tony and we will walk about the yard wearing black, chanting, and confusing the drunken freshmen. At 2 am, we will complete the ceremony with solmnity and turn our attentions to late-night merrymaking. >>> INTERCON C >>> This is a Con in Chelmsford from February 28 - March 2. Ender can get transport and hotel arrangements for anyone interested. Those who want to go should (a) register soon if they want to get into one of the con's many LARPs, and (b) go to the website and sign up by Tuesday if they would prefer to pay $20, rather than $30, for the con. Heather will be at Intercon, hosting a game based on Atlantis legends. >>> FALL PARTY >>> Because the co-chairs are so good at manipulating the poor plebian HRSFen, the party will be in Kartik's room, and he will play host. He will not go shopping, unfortunately, so this will have to be planned more thoroughly. He should contact the officers about a possible date (sometime after the hour). >>> VERICON >>> New guests: Ellen Kushner, Delia Sherman, and a man from Hasbro with an unpronounceable name. Janet has offered to run the art show. Rebecca still hungers and thirsts for volunteers. >>> ARISIA PARTY >>> We will continue to get information on this, and then decide whether we want to have a delegation to promote Vericon. Hotel and food costs may prove too high. Currently leaning towards holding it anyway. ----+ sigs + + + + <<< charles' sig <<< Buffy and Smallville meet Tuesday in Lowell JCR at 8.
