Minutes, 8 December 1996 Recorded by Julia Starkey, mailed to hrsfa-announce by Susan Marie Groppi, 11 December 1996 --------------------------------------------------- HRSFA Minutes, 8 December Movie discussion. The movie lost money, but less than it would have if we had canceled so there you go. We got a lot of ppl coming from "Trainspotting" to see "Neverending" the next day, which is odd in this subsitute Susan's opinion. Jessica Hammer (hammer@fas) is foolishly volunteering to do HRSFA assain. Pay $3 ($2 goes to HRSFA, $1 into pot for winner). Guns will not be provided, but there will be standards. Other methods, poision etc are possible and other oddness. Please e-mail her for more information. SIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIGSIG Star Trek SIG met and watched trek movies. Surplus munchies were donated including cookies with that star trek symbol blurrily baked in. They were good. Cool Movie PSIG will be showing "The Last Starfighter" as determined by executive fiat by the puppet dictator. Adams H-21 on Thursday, you know the deal. Alan Sundell has memorized Warcraft II. Gaming SIGs: Kyle's campagin will never meet. Alexi's campagin kicked some serious booty. No one in Aaron Landry's campaign lost 10 limbs, though Chris Hall now apprently has 8 arms. An evil character has recently taken to being very nice. Why? Because. Kyle played 8 1/2 hrs of D&D sunday and 6hrs on saturday. Aaron Landry has slept 4 out of the last 96 hrs. None of these are official sanctioned HRSFA activities. In the mage game, they went on a training mission and survived. The other mage game did not meet. Something about vampire games could not be recorded as when 10 people talk at once it's difficult to record what's happening. Kyle is what is often known as punchy. Mr. 1000 book man is sending more books. He's sent 7000+++ books to various universities plus the last 25yrs of comics. I'm alarmed, Ny wants to send him Xmas cards. Game-a-thon is coming soon, ponder what you may want to run and then tell Aaron Landry about the fruits of your fertile brain. BBC sig will happen soon and Claudia has a very nifty cool Tom Bakeresque scarf being mailed to her from England and I'm very jealous. Anyone who has Twin Peaks on tape please let Alexi know, he'd like to copy them. [ note: Hollywood Express has, I believe, the whole series on video. --Susan ] What happened at the end of "Living Daylights" Also, there will be a meeting before break wait for details. julia ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Julia's strategy for dealing with real life, on those rare occasions when she came into contact with it, was to keep very quiet and hope it would go away." --Sarah Caudwell http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~jstarkey
