Minutes, 99-09-20 Recorded by Kelly Stage Sent to hrsfa-announce, 20 Sep 23:39 ___________________________________________________________________ The meeting was called to order at 7:50 p.m., September 20, 1999. Nominees for the position of co-chair were invited to speak to the assembled masses, and then a brief question and answer period followed. Tse-Wei Lim, Bryn Neuenschwander, Marshall Perrin, Igor Teper, and Matt Withers appeared before the assembled hrsfans as official nominees. In usual fashion, the candidates were dismissed to the hallway for confidential discussion and voting. A motion was made and passed to do both rounds of voting before brining in any new co-chairs, so after completing both rounds, the candidates emerged from the hallway. Your new HRSFA co-chairs are Bryn Neuenshchwander Matthew Withers After the elections, Bryn and Matt took over the meeting and a few matters were discussed. Claudia and Tom talked briefly about the upcoming IGNOBELS. Talk to her (email at cmastr@fas) if you are interested in being part of the delegation. Tom mentioned that this year's theme relates in some way to genetics. The delegation(s) will also need a theme, so email Claudia with ideas. Also see Claudia's email from today, Sept. 20 re Ignobels. Tom also announced to the group that Milk and Cookies will be meeting soon, and that he would like all interested in attending to email him (lotze@fas) with a preference for time (either this coming weekend--the 24th or 25th--or the next week--Oct 1st or 2nd.) Tse-Wei (twlim@fas) announced that Shadowrun needs players (who will be committed to the campaign.) The last business of the night was to open nominations for the now open position of Internal (Infernal) secretary. Nominations thus far: Tse-Wei Lim Erin Larkspur Nominations are now open. Since I am writing these minutes, I decree that you may send all nominations to me, stage@fas and they will later be posted on the hrsfa web page, in a manner similar to the co-chair nominations arrangement of the past few weeks. Right. Right. Good. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.. and Carthage was destroyed. --Kelly Stage, eic
